Frequently Asked

Common questions
about RollerTots™.

Everything you need to know before you buy — from prerequisites to delivery format.

Do I need to be a certified instructor to buy this?

No. The RollerTots™ Teaching Resource Pack is available to anyone — including fitness professionals, EYFS practitioners, nursery teachers, skating coaches and parents.

If you're already a RollerFitness™ certified instructor, RollerTots adds a fully-built early-years stream to your existing offering. If you're not, the pack works as a standalone resource.

Do the children need to be able to skate already?

No — the programme is designed for complete beginners aged 2–5. The early Award 1 skills are built largely off skates: running, jumping, balancing and stretching, so children develop body control before the wheels go on.

Skates are introduced gradually, and the mini training manual teaches stopping and safe falling before anything else — so every child builds confidence in the right order.

What format are the resources in?

Everything is delivered as digital PDFs. The Progress Card and certificates are fillable PDFs — mark off skills directly on a tablet or laptop, and type each child's name onto their certificate to send online or print. Badges come in both digital and print-ready formats.

You'll receive instant access immediately after checkout — no shipping, no waiting.

Is the content suitable for nursery and EYFS settings?

Yes — the RollerTots™ programme was developed with the UK Early Years Foundation Stage (EYFS) physical development standards, and sessions are designed to support the areas EYFS tracks, from movement and handling to communication, language and personal-social development.

The mini training manual includes a full EYFS reference list so educators can confidently build sessions around recognised national learning outcomes.

What equipment do I need to run sessions?

Children's roller skates with full safety gear (helmet, knee pads, elbow pads, wrist guards), a safe indoor space, and basic session props you may already have — coloured cones, soft balls, teddy bears, ribbons and bean bags.

The mini training manual covers safety equipment standards (Lion Mark, CE Mark, Kite Mark) and provides session environment guidance for instructors.
