RollerFitness instructor | ISSA CPT | Oakland, California
"RollerFitness will help with balance, core and leg strength, and endurance."
I was born and raised in Oakland, California, and I've had a passion for roller skating since childhood — I remember walking from Oakland to the roller rink in San Leandro with my friends, and my Godfather, Rodney Walker, taking me skating at Foothill Square, a rink he helped build.
At the start of the Covid-19 pandemic, I was introduced to Rollerdance at FM Smith Park in Oakland, and started training with Richard Humphrey, founder of The Rollerdance Academy. I came from a Tap, Jazz and Ballet background, and Rollerdance instantly clicked with me.
RollerFitness gave me a fantastic foundation for balance, core and leg strength, and endurance — the kind of workout that makes you sweat, burns calories, and tones muscle while you're having fun.
I studied martial arts as a kid and later certified as a Turbo Kick instructor through 24 Hour Fitness, before going on to earn my ISSA CPT certification with a specialism in group fitness.
My goal is to bring RollerFitness into gyms as the first certified RollerFitness instructor in the Bay Area.
